On December 9, 1965, a fireball streaked across the sky over several US states and Canada before appearing to come down in the woods near Kecksburg, Pennsylvania. Local residents who reached the crash site described a large, acorn-shaped metallic object embedded in the ground, marked with strange symbols resembling hieroglyphics along its base. Within hours, military personnel arrived, cordoned off the area, and reportedly removed the object on a flatbed truck, though the U.S. Army has always denied recovering anything.
No official object was ever produced, and NASA's later explanation attributed the fireball to a Soviet satellite re-entering the atmosphere, an explanation many researchers and witnesses have long disputed given the object's reported shape and the speed of the military response. The case has remained a fixture of American UFO history for its distinctive detail, the acorn shape, that separates it from more generic "disc" or "saucer" sightings and has made it instantly recognisable ever since.
This design renders the object exactly as described, its ridged, acorn-like form trailing fire as it descends over the dark Pennsylvania hills. Rendered in a striking violet and black palette, styled like a genuine period case-file plate.
