A fish with a long history of relaxing

The goldfish is one of the oldest ornamental animals in the world. It was first selectively bred in China more than a thousand years ago from wild carp that showed unusual golden colouring. Kept in ornamental ponds and later in bowls inside the home, goldfish became symbols of good fortune, abundance and calm. After ten centuries as a symbol of calm, a spa day seems well earned.
