Fish On Holiday Mode Goldfish T-Shirt – Funny Beach Holiday Fish Tee

The out-of-office is on, the flip-flops are packed and this goldfish has officially clocked off.

Our sun-seeking goldfish has swapped the fishbowl for the beach. It's stretched out in a classic red-and-white striped deckchair, with sunglasses on, a straw boater tipped just so, and a tropical cocktail complete with orange slice and paper umbrella. Behind it a retro sunset glows over a turquoise sea, with a palm tree, distant island and gulls on the horizon. A starfish and seashell sit in the sand, and a weathered wooden sign makes the status clear: Holiday Mode.

"Fish On!" is the shout anglers give when a fish takes the hook. Here the roles are reversed: the fish is the one switched on and ready for a proper holiday. Chunky 70s-style lettering and warm sunset oranges, teals and golds give it a nostalgic, sun-faded vintage feel.

A seat with seaside history

The striped deckchair is about as British as a beach holiday gets. Folding canvas deckchairs became a fixture of seaside resorts in the late Victorian era, rented by the hour along the promenades of Brighton, Blackpool and beyond. Their bold stripes became shorthand for summer by the sea. More than a century later, our goldfish has claimed one for the whole fortnight.
