The Sun Stone T-Shirt – Aztec Piedra del Sol Calendar Tee

Discovered buried beneath Mexico City's central square in 1790, the Aztec Sun Stone — Piedra del Sol — is one of the most iconic surviving monuments of the ancient world, now housed in the National Museum of Anthropology. Carved from a single massive basalt disc, it depicts the Aztec cosmology of the Five Suns: the belief that the world had already been created and destroyed four times before the present age, with the face of the sun god Tonatiuh carved at its centre, tongue extended in the form of a sacrificial knife, surrounded by intricate rings recording the days, cosmic eras, and symbols central to Aztec belief.

This design channels that same monumental presence: concentric rings of richly detailed stone carving in gold, teal, and warm terracotta, radiating outward from a central solar face, built to evoke the weight and grandeur of the genuine artefact.
