The Calendar Wheel T-Shirt – Aztec Tonalpohualli Sun Stone Mythology Tee

Time itself was sacred to the Aztecs, who tracked it through two interlocking calendar systems: the 365-day solar Xiuhpohualli and the 260-day ritual Tonalpohualli, used together to mark festivals, agricultural cycles, and auspicious days for everything from planting crops to naming children. At the centre of Aztec cosmology sat great carved calendar stones — monumental stone discs inscribed with symbols for days, months, and cosmic eras, the most famous of which, the Aztec Sun Stone, remains one of the most recognisable artefacts of the ancient world.

This design channels that same tradition: concentric rings of richly detailed stone mosaic in turquoise, gold, and warm terracotta, radiating outward from a central carved face, built to evoke the weight and intricacy of a genuine ceremonial artefact rather than a flat icon.
