Just smooth, blank skin where a face should be.

What makes the nopperabō genuinely effective as folklore isn't gore or violence — there usually isn't any. It's the wrongness of a familiar shape with nothing looking back. Some of the oldest tellings layer the scare twice: someone runs from one faceless stranger straight into the arms of what they think is help, only for that person to turn around too.

This design keeps the horror understated and composed — hair, clothing, and posture entirely human, the blank oval of a face the only break from normal.
