Our grinning cartoon dragonfly is mid-zoom, with four shimmering wings a blur of motion and a striped teal-and-gold tail streaming behind. It's wearing yellow cat-eye sunglasses and a huge open-mouthed smile, and speed lines swirl in its wake. Below, a rustic wooden sign trimmed with leaves gives the all-clear: Cleared for Takeoff.

Glossy, groovy bubble lettering in teal and coral with a sunny yellow drop shadow gives it a playful 70s cartoon feel. It's for the restless, the free-spirited, the always-off-somewhere, and anyone who's ever been called a flight risk.

Nature's original flying ace

Dragonflies have earned the swagger. Their ancestors took to the skies more than 300 million years ago, long before the dinosaurs, and some prehistoric relatives had wingspans of around 70 cm. Today's dragonflies can move each of their four wings independently. That lets them hover, change direction instantly and even fly backwards. They're also among the most successful hunters in the animal kingdom, catching their prey in the large majority of attempts. Cleared for takeoff, and very hard to catch.
