Crécy 1346 T-Shirt — "The Boy Wins His Spurs" Medieval Battle Roundel Graphic Tee
On the evening of 26 August 1346, a sixteen-year-old Edward of Woodstock — the future Black Prince — held the right flank of his father's army against a much larger French force at Crécy. When the boy was pressed hard and messengers begged King Edward III to send aid, the king is said to have refused, replying that the day should be his son's alone: "Let the boy win his spurs." By nightfall, the English longbow had shattered wave after wave of French knights and Genoese crossbowmen, and the prince had earned his place in legend.
This design reimagines that moment as a commemorative roundel — a circular battle seal in gold and black, with the young prince standing triumphant over the field as archers loose their volleys and the sun burns low behind the smoke. Bold, symmetrical, and instantly readable from a distance, it's built for anyone who loves medieval history, the Hundred Years' War, or striking heraldic graphic design.
